Logfire Livetail Sources

The Sources tab in Livetail allows you to view and manage the log sources you have created. It provides an overview of each source’s status, event count, and storage size, and enables you to filter the displayed logs based on the selected sources.

Accessing the Sources Tab

To access the Sources tab:

1. Navigate to the Livetail page
2. Click on the Sources tab located on the right side of the screen

Source Information

Each source in the Sources tab is represented by a box that displays the following information:

• Source name
• Online/Offline status
• Number of events (logs) ingested from the source
• Storage size of the logs from the source

Filtering Logs by Source

You can filter the displayed logs based on the selected sources:

1. Click on the checkbox next to a source to include or exclude its logs from the display
2. Multiple sources can be selected or deselected to refine the log view
3. The logs will automatically update to reflect the selected sources

Filtering by source allows you to focus on logs from specific sources of interest while excluding logs from other sources.

Use the Sources tab to gain insights into the status and metrics of your log sources and to filter the displayed logs based on the selected sources, enabling targeted analysis and troubleshooting.
